Income Documents
- W-2 forms: Wage and salary income
- 1099-MISC, 1099-NEC, or other 1099 forms: Non-employee income (contract, freelance, etc.)
- 1099-INT, 1099-DIV: Interest and dividend income
- 1099-B, 1099-S: Stock sales or capital gains
- K-1 forms: Income from partnerships, S corporations, trusts, or estates
- Rental income and expense records (U.S. and foreign)
Deductions & Credit Documents
- Receipts for deductible expenses (charitable, medical, etc.)
- Form 1098: Mortgage interest statement
- Form 1098-T: Educational tuition, receipts for fees
- Childcare provider info and receipts
- HSA / MSA contribution records
Electric Vehicle Tax Credit
- Purchase agreement or invoice
- Vehicle make, model, year, and VIN
